Very very rare...

rare things/events can be called unique. do u know such? the "Local Planning Meeting" conference is one of those unique events...

the beginning was as usual: bus, OC, faci team and the conference stuff...

the facis pre-meeting with the LC bed with 7 people on it when the MC externals' bed had only one person on it and the Chair's the same thing :)

then the delegates came, the conference started and all was following its flow: trainings, reflection, evaluation, planning and of course parties and fun :)
the first day, and the second day, and then the third day came...
while preparing for a session, an OC member came to my room and said that in 5 minutes i must(!) be in the plenary...
the point was that the conference was running near the river Nistru and there was received a message that our base is going to be flooded, actually all the rest zone near the Nistru is going to disappear under water... but it wasn't approved yet and the conference kept running. it was the most important day of the conference, because we were supposed to plan our projects for the next year of our activity, but... after half of hour we were announced that the situation is getting worse and we should leave...
yeah, great, f*u*ck! how could this be? how could a base which is placed about 200 meters distance from the river be flooded?
we leaved and on our way home we saw trees in water, i don't know exactly how much the level of water increased, but the trees were in water already...
but in spite of this, the conference continued... in our office :) the projects planning (3 great projects, 2 of them really big and very powerful), the year plan and the "gala night" at 18:00 :)
so why it was unique?
- risk of flood (btw, i found out that our base was really flooded on the next day we left)
- at the same time, @ Iasi from Romania had the "Local Motivation Seminar" conference in parallel with us
- i have never packed my luggage so quick :)
- the planning of projects was got great
- the year plan was made directly in the office and there disappeared the need to transport it (it was really big, 8x8 A4 paper)

- a lot of other things which made this conference special and unique

at the end i would like to say a message to the Organizing Committee President (OCP) of the conference:
"Polly, i want to thank you for being in my OC when i was OCP and that you have put a new standard in organizing conferences, a higher level of quality and innovation. You did a GREAT conference!"
